I'm still not sure that I know what inspired it, but on Sunday Casey and his friend Eric participated in the Mid-America Canoe Race, a 10 mile race down the Fox River.
The kids and I met up with Eric's family and had a lot of fun watching and cheering. (J & E brought along their train whistles from the night before.)
